Quiet please

The guidance on this all contains far too much talking and very little silence. This leaves very little time to try any methods they are talking about. Its distracting and annoying.

Thank you for creating Buddhify. It has provided moments of calm in the noise of daily life, and has offered techniques to use again and again. The interface is beautiful, calming in itself, and the voices are easy to listen to. Someone put a great deal of thought into creating Buddhify, and the effort and attention to detail have made this the best guided meditation app Ive tried.

Too much talking!

The instructors talk way too much during the guided meditations. This is true of a good number of them. They tell you to take in the sounds, and then interrupt you every two seconds to tell you how to take in the sounds. They tell you to focus on the breath and then interrupt you every few seconds to tell you to watch the rise and fall of the breath. They have various types of meditations for different situations but I think they fail at their core product -- basic meditation. I suggest they separate meditation instructionals from guided meditation. The former being the explanations for why we meditate and latter being gently guided through minimal talk and suggestion thus allowing the meditator a deeper experience. The way it is now is rather irritating. It shouldnt be this hard to make a good meditation app.

I feel great

I feel better after doing a meditation. Body scan in just meditation is my favorite so far. This app gives a wide variety of meditations for different reasons. I love it!

No-stress app

I love this app, and have used it for over a year. No matter what mood Im in, theres a meditation to help. I dont have to think about it, just choose my spot on the wheel and go. Highly recommend!

My favorite app

this is the only app I have reviewed. This is hands down my favorite app I have ever downloaded. It has made my life so much better.

Disappointing

This is the third review Ive tried to write. Each time I was told my very unique nickname had been chosen! Im beginning to suspect that my poor review with one star is being rejected. There is way, way, way too much talking. Theres no background music and the voices are not soothing. I wish I could have listened to one before I purchased the app. Ill be deleting it because it takes precious space that could be used for a better meditation app.

So wonderful to have a calming, kind voice with me all the time. I love the way buddahfy fits within the framework of my life, experience, and needs.

Jury still out but something distracting me

I finally just started using this. I did the first just meditating and quickly moved past the breathing one because he started out saying just hang out with your breath and that bugged me too much to concentrate. On the next two sessions, the new narrator also said "hang out" a lot but it bugged me a little less. However, the voice sounded so much like Jon Ronson that it was distracting! I love Jon Ronson and think he has a very nice, soothing voice but it was hard not to keep coming back to that thought--this is Jon Ronson!--and feeling amused. Is that Jon Ronson?? I think I may run through all of the sessions to give it a chance, then start practicing on my own without it, as someone talking in your ear is always going to be a distraction.

Wish I could return it

I was very excited specifically about the going to sleep and commuting meditations when I bought this. Immediately after I downloaded it I realized it was a mistake. Theres not a single meditation over 18 min! Both of those things usually take longer than that, not to mention almost all of them are more like 7 or 8 mins and so much of the time on this app is taken up by unnecessary introductory talking that doesnt actually have to do with the meditation. The only thing I found zen was the design. A total disappointment.

Needs a bell

I like this app quite a bit. Great variety in the meditations. However, Id give it a 5 if each meditation began and ended with the ringing of a meditation bell or gong, especially at the end. Id also like a way to book mark favorites.

Love this app! Best money spent on an app. I like all the options and how there are multiple meditations to choose from for each scenario.

My favorite app.

I suffer from a severe case of monkey mind, and this app helps me bring it into check several times throughout the day. Doing chores, taking a bath, or just waiting-I use them all. I actually fell asleep doing the "Falling Asleep" session. Great app!

This app is a life changer!

If youd like to take mindfulness beyond your meditation cushion and into your everyday life, I highly recommend this app. Its easy to use, the guidance is smart, and its effective. There are lots of options for experimenting with mindfulness in various daily activities like when youre stressed, when youre feeling highly emotional, or want to pull yourself into the present moment while waiting, walking or eating. I love it and am finding improved peace and equanimity throughout each day.

Saved from the worst sick Ive ever been

This app has help so much in everyday life already. This week I was stuck in bed with blankets over all the windows for 3 days with some headache virus. Fever + migraine and the pain was so bad that I would throw up. The pain +illness section, going to sleep section, and cant sleep section saved me. I already swore by this app. It really helped me see this sickness til the end with out killing myself which at first seemed like the only solution to the pain. Thank for existing. I feel like all the people who have written negotiate reviews are neurotic negative people who like to find things to pick on and dont want to get better. Dont listen to them its perfect for some one who really wants guided help.

Needs improvement.

The ending sound on the "solo" timer needs to be louder - its really quiet compared to the starting sound. I use the timer when I only have a limited amount of time to meditate (work break) and its important that Im able to hear it.
